Scott Rhodes

I began my career in the insurance industry in November 1989. I am licensed in Property/ Casualty and Life/Health. I love educating people about what they are paying for and why. Insurance is not just something you have to have, it’s protection for what matters most to you. I grew up in Pittsburgh,Pa. and attended College at Indiana University of Pennsylvania where I studied Hotel&Restaurant Mgt and played football. I then moved to Indianapolis prior to opening the Rhodes Insurance Group at the age of 23. My wife and kids are my world! They bring a smile to my face all the time and the time I spend with them is invaluable to me! On my weekends, I enjoy working in the yard and doing outdoor activities. On Sundays, you’ll find us at church and sharing family time together. Other than my faith, family and friends…….you can usually find me watching football/hockey and looking for the newest pizza place in town. I’m a cancer survivor and am always looking for ways to give back to this cause whether be from a monetary standpoint or an encouraging word to someone being affected by this disease.

Debbie Rhodes

I started my insurance career with my husband Scott in 2011. I began working in personal lines, and have now moved into a business lines account manager role. I really enjoy the opportunity to learn about what matters to our clients, and offering solutions to protect everything they care about and have worked hard for. I was born in Northwest Indiana (Region Rat!), and also lived in Minnesota. I have been in Indianapolis since 1983, and love to see how much this city has grown and evolved over the years! I love spending time with my family, and all the time in the car driving the “mom taxi”! Weekends are busy with cheering on our favorite sports teams, both professional and the teams are kids our on! We love to be outside, and I cherish the times enjoying the sunshine and pool with family and friends. I am a foodie and I love making and eating great food! When I have the time, I enjoy making specialty and wedding cakes, as well as family favorite recipes. I am on the meals ministry team at my church, and love blessing families in need with a hot meal made with love!

Katrina Hockemeyer

With over 20 years of experience as a small business consultant in financial operations, I have worked the last 10 years with business owners as a licensed commercial producer. My experience in understanding business operations provides insight to owners as they navigate the confusing details of commercial insurance. There are so many different types of businesses, no two are alike, and it’s important to me that the business owner receives an individualized proposal tailored to their business operation.

I am from Indiana, graduating from Purdue University, B.S. – Business and a member of Pi Beta Phi sorority. When not working with clients, I enjoy traveling, in the U.S. or abroad, attending cultural events, playing golf, and spending time with family. My philanthropy interest is in the education/mentoring of youth and I enjoy giving back through volunteer service.

Kasandra Love

I grew up in Carmel, IN attending Carmel Schools K-12 and eventually moving back to the area. I have been in the insurance industry itself for a short period, but have knowledge of the industry from previous roles I have held with prior experiences. I am most excited about helping our customers feel confident about their insurance and making them feel cared for during their experience with us.

I love sports; football in particular. I am a die-hard Colts fan! My guilty pleasure is pens, and if you come into my office, you will witness my love for them!

When I’m not working, you can find me on the lake with friends, in the mountains – where my heart is, or simply at home relaxing with family! I am a huge supporter of Humane Societies/animal rescues. I have had several rescue animals myself and have fostered a few.

Katrina Acosta

I started in insurance in 1992. I have been with Rhodes Insurance Group since December of 2018. I am well versed in personal lines and commercial lines insurance. My current focus is commercial insurance. I grew up in Avon, Indiana and still live in that area. I enjoy spending time at home with our cat and dog. I have three daughters; one married, one engaged and one in her last year of college. My hobbies include painting, cross-stitch, cake decorating and working on our family ancestry. I am our family historian.

Heather Fields

I have worked in the insurance industry for 23 years. I have been with the Rhodes Agency for 19 Years. I have worked in the insurance industry for 23 years. I enjoy working closely with each client. Not just knowing them on a business level but also building relationships as well. My passion is horses. I love to train, ride and experience something new every day with them. Trail riding my horse anywhere in the USA. I travel all over nothing is better then being out in the wilderness with my horse.

Nicole Jud

Prior to accepting this position, I was employed by Franciscan Health for over 31 ½ years, (20 years direct bedside patient care, and the opportunity to work remotely in other medical care related positions, specializing in Trauma for the past 11 ½ years).

I am also a licensed Substitute Teacher with the State of Indiana for the Hamilton County School District.

My previous careers have all focused on helping others, providing care, and teaching. Throughout my education and past experiences I have developed a genuine care and concern of others and their well-being. Insurance Agents also act as counselors and educators as we teach and guide clients, their families, employees, employers, etc. how to manage their coverages

I love being with my family, especially when we can all be together! They are the singular most important part of my life! I also love to run, and I’m a certified scuba diver with eleven open water dives. My most memorable dives were in St. Croix, cave diving in Cozumel, swimming/diving with sharks in the Bahama’s, and shipwreck diving Lake Michigan.

I believe my faith has always guided my life, so I’m very grateful for the opportunity to work for Rhodes Insurance Group and excited about my career change!

Although I grew up in a Nationwide Family as the daughter of a PA Agent/District Manager, I got a later start in the industry.  I began working for my father, the Rhodes Insurance Agency in PA, in 2004.  When my father retired I followed his book of business to Nationwide Corporate then back into 3 Exclusive Nationwide Agencies. 

It is my pleasure to now be working with my brother, Scott, for as long as he will have me!  Early on I worked for Mellon Bank as an Assistant Marketing Rep for the Corporate Global Banking Dept for 13years.  In 1992, I chose to be a stay-at-home Mom and raise my 2 children.  I am very proud of both of my adult children and even more proud to say that my son is a Nationwide Insurance Agent in Pittsburgh, PA.  My activities include Baking Wedding/Novelty Cakes, Watching Sports (hockey/football/baseball), and anything that has to do with the Great Outdoors!!!

Julie Vanlandingham

I grew up in Terre Haute, In. At the young age of 17, I joined the Indiana Air National Guard. Though not a college graduate, I learned many valuable things from my Military Education, such as the following mental skills that I used in my military career as well as in my everyday life.

Excellence is a habit and a necessity. Good manners make a great impression. Everything can get done with self-discipline. Failure is the greatest teacher. Tenacity is the key to success.

My only experience in the insurance industry is from a customer perspective. This will definitely be a new challenge. Working with such a great team is really inspiring. The teamwork and respect they have for one another is contagious. Every team member really cares about each other. They made me feel welcomed right at the get-go.

I like to run. Nothing like a good 3 miles to rejuvenate the soul. When I am not working, you will probably find me spending time with my family or boyfriend.

Kristi Smythe

I grew up in Indianapolis and graduated from Warren Central High School. I have been in the insurance industry since the early 90s.  I worked evenings for an agent doing paperwork and filing for her, and I started at her agency when I was ready to work days. I then went to work for GRE Insurance in underwriting non-standard auto for many years. After the birth of my 3rd child, my son, I went to work nights for about a year in 99. A friend from GRE invited me to apply at Meridian Insurance non-standard auto, and I was hired there in 2000. When State Auto took over and the non-standard auto went to Ohio, I was hired as a commercial lines assistant.  I worked with an amazing team until 2015 when I started working for Indiana Farmers Mutual in the farm insurance department until 2021. I love working together with a team and helping each other achieve our goals. I also love helping clients achieve the changes they desire. They depend on the agent to guide them in the right direction. My goal is to be a great benefit and support to the commercial lines team and make it much easier for us to all achieve our goals, do our jobs, and help the clients!

My family is the most important thing to me. I love my grandbabies and children! When I am not talking about them, I will usually be discussing esthetics and advanced modalities and products. I also love music and concerts! I haven’t been lately because I have been so busy but I love to go to shows.  We also watch stand-up comedy and the great comics out there.

I became a licensed esthetician in October of 2022 and I absolutely love doing skin on evenings and weekends! I  specialize in doing facials, chemical peels, Celluma light, and micro-needling!

I support Overdose Lifeline and all of their great work. I always have Narcan in my purse because everyone deserves a chance to make it!  I also love animals and the many animal rescues.

Sami Looper

I grew up in Kokomo, IN, and moved to Anderson, IN, last year. I’ve mainly worked in the medical field since I was 17, so this is my first time working in the insurance industry. I wanted to try something different and see where it takes me. Talking to people and helping them find a way to improve their quality of life is something I like to do, and it can be very rewarding on both sides. I enjoy spending time with my family.

My son, my husband, and my dog are the loves of my life. I like to go kayaking, fishing, hunting, and just being outside whenever I can.
